My Horror Collection: E

Hey there, creepy peeps!!

I'm back with another Horror Collection post, I'm really glad you guys reading like these posts, although I will apologize as this one is super short. Apparently I only own a few horror movies that start with E. I also forgot to take a pic of the movies, so I'll leave you with this meme:

  • The Editor (Adam Brooks and Matthew Kennedy, 2014)

This is really the only giallo film I like and I think it’s because it is a love letter to giallo and therefore over-the-top on the giallo-ness. I don’t know if that makes any sense, but there you go.

  • Eight-Legged Freaks (Ellory Elkayem, 2002)

I got this in a HorrorPack, I HAVE seen it, but I don’t know why it’s still in my collection. Not because the movie was bad, necessarily, but because, as you know, I fucking hate spiders.

  • The Eye (David Moreau and Xavier Palud, 2008)

I still have only seen parts of this movie, not the whole thing. I got it in a HorrorPack (of course). I think it is a J-horror originally, as well. If it is I would prefer to watch them back-to-back and do a Remake vs Original or something.

  • The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Scott Derrickson, 2005)

While the movie as a whole doesn’t freak me out, there is one part in particular that always gets to me. It’s the part in the barn when Emily (possessed Emily) is speaking her names (the names of the devil) and it’s all raining and thundering and she’s screaming and carrying on. Then, all of the sudden it gets quiet and she looks to the priest and it’s so dark and all you see are two tiny pinpoints of light in her eyes and it’s the freakiest fucking thing I have ever seen. I almost shit my pants the first time I saw it!

  • The Exorcist (William Friedkin, 1973)

A classic! I still jump every time Capt. Howdy’s face appears over the stove!

  • Extraordinary Tales (Raul Garcia, 2013)

Fans of Edgar Allan Poe and anthologies will LOVE this!! It’s a collection of Poe classics all done in different animation (ALL BY THE SAME GUY, MIND YOU). It’s so cool and I forever love this movie!
